Louisiana’s DNA at Hank’s San Luis Potosí

The building that today houses the Restaurant & Bar Hank’s San Luis Potosí, was built right in front of the now known Garden of Tequisquiapan in the neighborhood of the same name, in 1870. Initially it was a house, including a cemetery in the backyard and a church; so some inhabitants mocked to say that you could be born there, get married and die without going out on the street.

Over the years, this building also housed a shoe factory installed in 1903 and several schools around the 70’s. In 2008, the founder of Hank’s Group found the building in ruins. It took many years to restore it and turn it into what it represents today: a Window to the French Quarter of Louisiana. Even, the National Institute of Anthropology and History, gave Hank’s recognition “San Luis de la Patria 2017” for the great work of restoration.

Hank’s San Luis Potosí, inaugurated in 2017, seeks to position itself as one of the favorite sites of the distinguished resident society, industrialists and tourists who visit the city.
